Description

SD Polymers traces its roots to Marco Danese, who successfully built five roofing manufacturing plants in three countries. Danese founded SD Polymers in 1998, bringing with him decades of experience. At the beginning, the company focused on supplying nonwoven polyester mat and densified polypropylene to a wide range of commercial roofing manufacturers, primarily in Latin America. Over time, SD Polymers expanded its offerings to include Fiberglass Mat and materials for TPO membrane roofing applications. Today, the SD Polymers has developed extensive expertise in the production of APP compounds for APP membrane manufacturing through its unique single polymer solution. In addition, the company’s diversified plastics industry services include compounding post-industrial plastic pellets for injection molders domestically for a wide variety of applications. In addition, we perform converting services for the nonwovens industry. Stefano Danese, son of founder Marco Danese, serves as Managing Director of SD Polymers. Danese joined the company in 2008. Danese previously spent four years serving as plant manager for General Industrial Polymers in Baytown, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Headquartered in Macon, Georgia, the SD Polymers facility include a warehouse with more than 120,000 square feet of space. We also feature a fully equipped laboratory for raw material and finished goods testing.
