Formed in 1971, Libas started as a small Chicago business run solely by one individual. Realizing the need to be located in a city more accessible to the furniture trade, Libas Ltd. shifted its operation to Los Angeles and incorporated the business in 1979. Their connection to the home furnishing market began with their first all-silk collection in 1997, after which the company continued to broaden and compliment their offerings in silk selection. Their reputation in the fine furnishings and interior design has gained them remarkable recognition as a provider of quality fabrics couple with professional service. Their fabrics can be seen in fine-furnishings showrooms throughout United States. As well, unlike other suppliers, Libas manages a large in-house inventory allowing for immediate delivery of most orders. Over the past 30 years, Libas has flourished into a successful, professional business, employing approximately 30 people, with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Bangalore and India. With a fully stocked warehouse in the Los Angeles head office, Libas has gained a reputation for quality, in-stock inventory along with fast and accurate service, allowing for clients to have access to their orders, without major importing delays.
